For bookings made more than 10 weeks before departure, a land deposit of 20% is required. Flights will have to be paid in full if they are part of your package. There are certain exceptions to these deposit requirements and they are listed further below. If the booking is made within 10 weeks of departure full payment will be required. A credit card number will be accepted for the deposit/full payment.

Air Transportation: Please note that if you take flights within Europe or internally in Ireland or Britain, different weight restrictions may apply for these flights and that individual airlines have different policies regarding baggage handling and weight restrictions. Please ask your vacation specialist for further information.

Ferry Tickets: All fares are subject to government approval and can change without notice; ferry fares are only guaranteed once they have been paid and ticketed. Cancellations or changes made after tickets have been issued are subject to a cancellation/change fee. Cancellations made on non-refundable tickets can receive no refund. myguideIreland cannot issue copies of ferry tickets for guests with frequent traveller programs. Therefore the guest should keep the passenger coupon at the back of the ferry ticket.

Car Rental: Car hire reservations will be put in place on receipt of deposit /full payment and the guest’s acceptance of myguideIreland terms & conditions. Specific Terms & Conditions apply to cars rented in Southern Ireland & Northern Ireland, please select the appropriate rental location and read the conditions that apply:

It is the guests responsibility to notify myguideIreland if they are in breach of any of the car rental company’s terms & conditions.

The Car Rental Company will require a credit card imprint when you are picking up your car to cover the excess/fuel deposit etc. If you do not carry a credit card you will need to pay a cash deposit to cover the excess/fuel deposit. Cash rentals are not allowed on all car types so please check the Car rental Terms & Conditions on the following links:

Car Rental Cancellation Fees: From day of booking to 24 hour before pick-up 20% of total car rental cost. Within 24 hours of pick-up 50% of total car rental cost.

Hotel Accommodation: Hotel reservations will be put in place on receipt of deposit/full payment and the guests acceptance of myguideIreland terms & conditions. myguideIreland will endeavour to book the hotels requested by the guest but will offer suitable alternatives if the guests first choice is not available. The booking deposit/payment is refundable if your first choice of accommodation is not available and the alternative offered is not suitable to you. Cancellation or changes made to hotel reservations are subject to a cancellation/change fee imposed by the hotel plus a myguideIreland administrative fee of 20% of the total cost of the accommodation cancelled.

B&B Accommodation: For guests who buy B&B Vouchers myguideIreland will pre-book their first nights B&B accommodation free of charge. All additional B&B reservations will carry a booking fee of €8.00/USD$10.00/GPB£7.00 per B&B reservation. Once B&B reservations are confirmed the guest is liable for the following cancellation fees:
All cancellations outside of 14 days of arrival can be cancelled free of charge.
Between 14 & 7 Days - 50% of the room(s) cost
Betweeen 6 days & 24 hours - 75% of the room(s) cost
Failure to show 100% - of the room(s) cost
A minimum of five vouchers must be purchased and pre-booking is recommended
Unused vouchers can be returned to myguideIreland for a full refund less 20% administrative fee

Self Catering: Reservations for self-catering properties will be put in place on receipt of deposit/full payment and the guest’s acceptance of myguideIreland terms & conditions. myguideIreland will endeavour to book the self-catering accommodation requested by the guest but will offer suitable alternatives if the guests first choice is not available. The booking deposit is refundable if your first choice of accommodation is not available and the alternative offered is not suitable to you. Cancellation or changes made to self-catering reservations are subject to a cancellation/change fee imposed by the self-catering contractor plus a myguideIreland administrative fee of 20% of the total cost of the accommodation cancelled.

Please note: Extras, such as heating, electricity and telephone are not included in the rental price unless otherwise stated and are payable on departure directly to your self-catering contractor. A security deposit may be payable on arrival and will be refunded at the end of your stay provided the property has not suffered damage.

Dogs: A limited number of self-catering properties allow dogs in the self-catering property. These must be advised in advance of booking. An extra cleaning charge will be payable per dog.

6 to 2 weeks before arrival - 75%
Less than 2 weeks - 100%

Cloghan Castle, Termon House, Ballyealy Cottage, Blackhead Lighthouse & Cottages, The Drum, Loop Head Lighthouse, Ballyhannan Castle, Anchor Lodge, Saimin So, Caher Lodge, Horse Island, Inishbeg Cottages, Glandore Cottages, Galley Head Lighthouse, Annes Grove, Salterbridge Lodge, Wicklow Head Lighthouse, Lisheen Castle, Adare Manor Townhouses, Clomantagh Castle, 25 Eustace Street.

Deposit Requirements/Cancellation Policies:
Booking deposit 50% of 1 week’s rental. Balance due 10 weeks before arrival date.

From booking date to 2 weeks before arrival loss of deposit
Less than 2 weeks 100%

Cashelfean Self Catering Property Group: These properties require 1 full weeks rental as a deposit which is totally unrefundable should the booking be cancelled. Cashelfean Terms and conditions.

Shannon Cruising:
Cruise boat reservations will be put in place on receipt of deposit/full payment and the guest’s acceptance of myguideIreland terms & conditions. Tour bookings made more that 90 days prior to departure require a non-refundable deposit of 40% for total cruise boat rental price. Bookings made within 90 days of departure, full payment will be required.

Cancellation Policy: Bookings cancelled 90 days before travel loss of 40% deposit.
Bookings cancelled within 90 days of travel – no refund.

Escorted Coach Tours: Tour reservations will be put in place on receipt of deposit/full payment and the guests acceptance of myguideIreland terms & conditions. Tour bookings made more that 10 weeks prior to departure require a non-refundable deposit of USD$250 plus flights + insurance (where applicable), to secure a place on the tour. If the booking is made within 10 weeks of departure, full payment will be required. Once your place on the tour is confirmed any cancellation or change will be subject to cancellation penalties or change fees.

In cases where flights/ferries are part of your package the flight/ferry cancellation policies apply to that portion of your package.

TIPS: Tips for services of a personal nature and to staff for services provided are not included in any of the packages and are left to your discretion.

UNUSED PACKAGE ARRANGEMENTS: myguideIreland cannot make refunds or exchanges for unused accommodations, services or features of any package unless agreed upon prior to departure. Claims or disputes should be submitted to myguideIreland in writing no later than 28 days after the end of the tour.

MOBILE PHONE: The following cancellation fees apply to the cancellation of a mobile phone prior to your arrival.
Up to 2 weeks prior to arrival no fee.
2 weeks - 4 days EUR€25.00/USD$32.50/GBP£18.00
If the phone is delivered to the pick-up point EUR€35.00
If the phone is damaged or lost there will be a charge of EUR€80.00/USD$104.00/GBP£56.00

Travel Insurance:
IMPORTANT: myguideIreland is not responsible for mechanical breakdowns, government actions, weather, acts of God, misconnections or related expenses to/from flights or other circumstances beyond its control. To guard against unforeseen circumstances, we strongly recommend you purchase optional travel insurance. For details please enquire from one of our Vacation Specialists.

PAYMENT POLICY: Full payment must be made no later than 10 weeks prior to arrival date. myguideIreland accepts payment by cheque or major credit cards. If payment is not received, reservations will automatically cancel and deposit payment become forfeit. No travel documents will be sent out until full payment has been received. Payments by cheque will not be accepted within 21 days of arrival. In this case myguideIreland will supply bank details to process payment by money transfer.

DOCUMENTS: Documents will be shipped by ground service provided full payment has been received. We need sufficient notice to arrange for early delivery by regular service if customers intend to leave home prior to their travel arrangements with myguideIreland. Late bookings may incur an express service delivery charge.

Amendment Fees: You will be charged an amendment fee of $30 per adult ("Amendment Fee") by myguideIreland for all permitted passenger-initiated changes made after receipt of deposit or full payment by myguideIreland. Hotels, Bed and Breakfasts and Self Catering Apartments may charge a fee for changes or cancellation. Airlines may charge significant change and cancellation fees which vary by carrier. Name changes will be treated as a cancellation and all cancellation fees will apply. Once travel has commenced, any changes or cancellation will be at the expense of the passenger.

CANCELLATIONS: Package dates are not guaranteed. Should the package supplier cancel the itinerary prior to arrival myguideIreland will offer will the next available date at no additional land cost. If this is not acceptable, a full refund of all monies paid to myguideIreland will be made. myguideIreland cannot accept responsibility for any additional costs or fees relating to such a package booking. If you purchase a non-refundable airline ticket, ensure that your travel agent explains the conditions under which the ticket is issued as myguideIreland is not responsible for any cancellation penalties due to non-refundable airfares.

RESPONSIBILITY: myguideIreland Ireland Limited is not responsible for any personal injury, property damage or other loss a myguideIreland customer incurs on any travel (organized by myguideIreland), arising from acts or omissions by any air carrier, public transport company, hotel, car rental company, subcontractor or other person or organization, whether or not such company is rendering any services supplied to myguideIreland. All tickets and vouchers are issued and supplied subject to the foregoing and to any and all terms and conditions under which transportation and services are provided. myguideIreland accepts no responsibility for losses or expenses due to delay or changes in schedules, flight cancellations due to mechanical problems, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other causes. Customers must bear all such losses or expenses. Airline tariffs limit liability for passenger baggage.

TRIP DELAY:
myguideIreland will not be in a position to reimburse or compensate for lost travel arrangements due to your arrival into Ireland being delayed beyond your scheduled arrival date because of delay or cancellation by the air/ferry carrier .

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Rates on all myguideIreland websites were valid at the time they were published on our websites. All prices are shown in the websites relevant currencies. myguideIreland reserves the right to alter prices existing at the time prior to departure and without prior notice if circumstances so warrant. Any devaluation or revaluation of currencies may affect published prices.

LAW: Passenger contract with myguideIreland is subject exclusively to Irish Law and Jurisdiction for Irish Tours and Packages and any other travel arrangements.
